Muriel L. Peacock

On Sept. 21, Muriel Lois Peacock, (Brown) 89, was gently guided into her eternal home with Jesus. During her short sickness, she was surrounded by her loved ones.

Muriel was born in Prospect, Maine, Aug. 3, 1935, and was a graduate of Bucksport High School.

Muriel was married to Travers W. Peacock Jan. 25, 1953, in Bucksport, Maine. Trav and Muriel were married for 61 years.

Muriel was a dedicated homemaker and was a talented seamstress. She was also known for her quilting abilities and lovely crocheted afghans. She raised her children in a quiet neighborhood on Verona Island.

Muriel is survived by her daughter Kathryn (William) Carrier, and grandchildren; William Jr. and Heather. A second daughter, Gail Peacock of Easton, Maryland, and grandchildren;  Travers, Alex and Kayla. And a son, Tracy Peacock (Michelle) of Sauk Rapids and grandchildren; Veronica and Richelle.  Additionally, she has seven great-grandchildren; Garrett, Veronica, Lindsey, Caroline, Aubrey, Brady and Noah.

Muriel is preceded in death by her husband Travers W. Peacock, her mother Marion L. Brown, father Claude M. Brown, a brother Merton Brown and sister Pearl Romer.

Muriel will be laid to rest in the presence of her family at a private graveside service, next to her beloved husband at the Central Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine in early spring 2025.
